"I've always been fascinated with the process of photo restoration. How suddenly figures from the past seem so relatable once color has been restored. I wanted to bring that into my makeup look by creating a 'living restoration' by displaying the transition from black and white to color on a singular person.

My model was a talented and stunning woman named Cheyenne who is a remarkable makeup artist in her own right. Her collaborative spirit and openness to my concept really helped bring this project to life. And I am thankful to our photographer, Michael Ching, who not only took these incredible shots but dropped in a background to really help elaborate the concept as well."
